This wikidot site will be your comprehensive guide to learning about German automobile history. There are a handful of top German car companies, each known for a distinctive style and ability to build fantastic vehicles. However, what most people do not know is the history behind these companies and how they came to building the best cars worldwide. That is where this
site comes in. You will find a collection of resources and information here, probably enough to bore even the most intense car fanatic.

About: In this section you can read up on why I am in love with my Audi and the different experiences I have had learning to drive, exploring Europe, and building my car. Also see the BIT 330 website and my blog entries from this semester.
Instructions: This section will show you some information about a couple of the tools used on this site and how to be a better searcher. Click to learn about RSS, how to search online, and the difference between page monitors and other alerts.
Background: To begin your journey through this site, begin by checking out the history links and learning about the five major German automobile makers and how they are interconnected. There is a ton of information within these pages, so be ready for an adventure. Hopefully, you will begin to realize why once you drive German you don't drive anything else.
Current Events: Find information about current events through the news feeds, RSS feeds, blogs, current events, and forums I follow. There are so many great resources out there, so it is not hard to find information about these cars.
Resources Evaluation: You can find information about the resources used to build this site as well as some reviews about the different sources. This section provides added information as well as a direction for how to find more information. There are many links within the resource review pages, so make sure to look at those as well!
Thoughts: I wrap up with some final thoughts and a blog entry about this project. There is also a page that highlights my favorite resources found through building this site, so I would definitely make sure to give those a look.

| This is my final blog for the semester talking about my project. It was a long journey to completion and I am happy that I picked a topic I am truly interested in. When I first started working on my wiki site, I did not expect to spend nearly as much time as I did putting it together and trying to make it as simple, attractive, and informative as possible. In the end, I had to stop myself from continuing work so as not to fail my other classes. I loved having an excuse to watch car videos and research the vehicles I enjoy so much, hopefully my attention to detail really comes through as you are reviewing the site. | |
